Introducing Fabric Agent v2.0 — LLM-Native Network Routing

Alex Morgan
March 14, 2026 · 5 min read

Today we're launching Fabric Agent v2.0, the most significant update to our agentic ISP layer since launch. This release introduces native LLM workload recognition, allowing the network to understand and prioritise AI traffic at the routing level — not just the application level.

Upgrade available
Fabric Agent v2.0 is available to all Enterprise and Growth plan customers starting today.

What's new in v2.0

The core innovation is our new Intent Classification Engine (ICE) — a lightweight model running directly on each mesh node that classifies traffic in under 40 microseconds without adding measurable latency to the routing path.

javascript
// Connect to Fabric Agent v2
const agent = await MetroFabric.connect({
  endpoint: 'wss://agent.metrofabric.net/v2',
  apiKey: process.env.MF_API_KEY,
  options: {
    intentRouting: true, // NEW in v2.0
    llmPriority: 'high', // NEW in v2.0
  }
});
